IP Allocations

An IP Allocation records who holds which address in a pool. Foundry allocates an address when a Machine joins a Subnet that uses the Pool.

Navigate to the IP Pool → tab IP Allocations.

| Type | What holds it (Machine, Nest, ...) |
| Name | The holder |
| Source | ipam when Foundry picked the address, user when it was pinned |
| State | in_use or released |
A released Allocation keeps its address for 30 days, so a Machine that comes back gets the same one. Delete it under Actions → Delete to hand the address out earlier.
